The iconic Kasun 'Smile' pendant was designed around the principle of Kintsugi, the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold so the break becomes the most beautiful part of the object. Set into a coin the size of a fingertip, the crack runs through the centre of the face in silver, with garnet filling the gap instead of hiding it.
Designed and made by celebrated goldsmith Kasun Ekanayake, whose collections have won three Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council Awards. His pieces have been worn globally by Cara Delevingne, St Vincent, Jenna Ortega, FKA Twigs, Naomie Harris, Kendall Jenner, Krysten Ritter + Erin O'Connor, and featured inWallpaper*, Financial Times, Harper's Bazaar, Lost in Jewellery, & Elle.
Made of Recycled Sterling Silver the pendant is 19mm wide, with six delicate garnets embedded into the silver, bridging pure quality to presence.
Also available in 18K Gold Vermeil over Recycled Sterling Silver.
