This is a very special piece by Irish artist and silversmith Helen Delany. Made of sterling silver,  the pendant features an authentic old Irish threepence coin, originally part of a series designed by artist Percy Metcalfe in 1948. Each piece is handmade by Helen at her jeweller's bench in her studio in Co. Meath. 

Working in sterling silver and gold, her designs embrace a contemporary aesthetic while honouring traditional craftsmanship. Whether inspired by Irish history, heirlooms, or the beauty of simple forms, each piece is thoughtfully and carefully made using traditional techniques and immense attention to detail.

For this piece she has chosen a bezel setting to showcase the coin's historic design. Each Silver Hare Coin necklace is a complete original.
